Willow was my pick of the litter as a 7-week-old pup. Willow has used her seniority to claim the position of permanent house dog. In October 2018, Willow passed the AKC Canine Good Citizen evaluation and the Therapy Dog International evaluation.
Willow had been making visits to two elementary schools, a local adult day facility, and a nursing home. She has earned her THDN title. The virus restrictions brought this to an end. Willow had been in rehab from a torn CCL. She was released by the vet in November 2019. She returned to her quest for her conformation CH in 2020, but that was delayed by the virus restrictions. She was taken out of competition in late 2020 to be bred. She has shown us that she is an excellent mom. Willow returned to the show ring with Stephanie Hentschel handling her. She became a conformation CH at the Lima Kennel Club show in Columbus, OH on November 20, 2021.
Willow was making great progress in her Hunt Test preparations until the knee injury sidelined her. Our Vet discouraged her return to that training because of fear of re-injury.
Willow is dark brown and weighs 92 pounds. She has never met a stranger. unless they are knocking on the door!
