Kodi is co-owned by John Contini of Sky Pond Chesapeakes and Mike Hough of Harrodsburg, KY.
Rose (Kodi’s Dam) took a road trip to Wisconsin and was bred to a Grand Champion, Master Hunter. River (Kodi’s sire) is one of the top hunt test dogs in the country, having completed 27 master level tests at the time of this writing. This breeding has produced a fine young dog.
Kodi went to Jeremy Ries, Moco Bottoms Labs, when he was seven months old. He came back home for the 2025-26 duck season with his SHR (Started Hunting Retriever) title. Kodi had a successful duck season hunting with Mike in Arkansas and Kentucky. He also participated in a tower shoot where he was one of several dogs who retrieved pheasants for the shooters. Kodi will be returning to Jeremy once duck season is over and will be working for his JH (Junior Hunter) title and preparing for advanced contests.
Kodi is a brown dog with a fantastic coat who we expect to mature to around 85 lbs. We are looking forward to using Kodi in our breeding program.
