Fen’s sire is one of the elite Chesapeakes. Jockamo has accomplished the daunting tasks of attaining his conformation “GCH” title and his hunt test “HRCH” and “MH” titles. His breeding to a Spinaker bred female with her JH Hunt Test title produced a fantastic young dog who is putting his mark on his pups.
Fen finished his UKC SHR (Started Hunting Retriever) title at the CKHRA hunt test on May 22, 2022. He finished his AKC JH (Junior Hunt) title at the Bourbon Hills hunt test on August 6, 22022. Since he’s been home, he has been a joy to hunt with. He has a laid back temperament that shifts into high gear when birds arrive.
On March 19, 2023, after Rose finished her CH title, we took Fen to Stephanie Hentschell while she was close by us in Louisville. He began his title quest, gathering 14 points and a major win in a short time. With no major shows coming up, we brought him home. He went to the North Georgia Kennel Club show with Deanna Kidd on 9-13-24 and won his second Major Win to finish his CH title,
Fen is a dark brown Chesapeake. He stands 26″ at the shoulder and weighs 95 – 105 pounds. He was brought in as a potential stud to breed to our Chief and River daughters. His pedigree is fantastic. Fen’s first litters are proving he is going to be an exceptional sire. His first pups are all large, dark brown hunting machines.
